Lawrence Venuti is Professor of English at Temple University. He works in early modern literature, British, American, and foreign poetic traditions, translation theory and history, and literary translation. He is the author of Our Halcyon Dayes: English Prerevolutionary Texts and Postmodern Culture, The Translator's Invisibility: A History of Translation , and The Scandals of Translation: Towards an Ethics of Difference. He is the editor of the anthology of essays, Rethinking Translation: Discourse, Subjectivity, Ideology, and of The Translation Studies Reader, a survey of translation theory from antiquity to the present. His translations from the Italian include works by Dino Buzzati, I. U. Tarchetti, Juan Rodolfo Wilcock and Antonia Pozzi.

Philip Krummrich is Professor of Comparative Literature at Morehead State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Illinois. As a translator, his goal is to make primary texts available in English for the use of comparatists; he works mostly with originals in Spanish and Portuguese. He is the author of A Critical, Dual-language Edition of Quadras ao Gôsto Popular / Quatrains in the Popular Style by Fernando Pessoa; A Critical, Portuguese/ English Edition of Anfitrião, ou Júpiter e Alcmena / Amphitryon, or Jupiter and Alcmena by the Eighteenth-Century Portuguese Jewish Writer Antônio José da Silva; and The Hero and Leander Theme in Iberian Literature, 1500-1800: An Anthology of Translations.

René de Costa is Emeritus Professor of Spanish and Spanish American Literatures at the University of Chicago. He is the author of The Poetry of Pablo Neruda, Vicente Huidobro. The Careers of a Poet, En pos de Huidobro: siete ensayos de aproximación, and Humor in Borges. He has edited Vicente Huidobro y el creacionismo, a volume of historical texts and critical essays on Huidobro, and Poesía y poética 1911-1948, a commented anthology of Huidobro's works. He has published critical editions of Altazor by Vicente Huidobro, Los heraldos negros by Cesar Vallejo, and Poemas y antipoemas by Nicanor Parra.

Ian Barnett has been translating from Spanish and French into English since 1994. He studied French literature and linguistics, and graduated from St. Catherine's College, Oxford University. His translations includes works of contemporary novelists like Héctor Tizón, Carlos Gamerro, Pablo de Santis, Osvaldo Soriano and Alberto Laiseca, among others, and of several poets, like Roberto Juarroz, Hugo Mujica, Gustavo Garcia Saraví and Raúl González Tuñón. In the last years he has been dedicated also to theatre and has translated the plays of The Bosch Heptalogy by Rafael Spregelburd, Peron's Princess by Marcelo Pitrola, Chicken Walk by Pablo Iglesias, and Registers, a volume of Federico León's collected works. He has lived in Liverpool, Oxford, Barcelona, Paris, Managua and Buenos Aires, where he is a lecturer of the Masters Program in Translation at the University of Belgrano.
